OBDII Diagnostics Kit and Maintenance Manuals

Anyone have any recommendations of what to get to enable error codes to be read. I am looking for ones for Mercedes primarily but also use on the Mini would be a bonus.

Anyone use any technical DVD/CD off eBay or any other source. The US dealers sell technical guides. Anyone recommend one that I can buy.

You are going to have to change the screen name to SLacker from here on in. Wish I could help you, I would be interested in the same software for reading codes etc myself. I did purchase a SLK manual off the dreaded ebay some time ago but it was totaly useless.

No not expecting issues but I have a few cars now and like to know when something is wrong what is wrong. Whether I fix it myself is another matter but knowing what the codes are will help to make sure I don't get the run around if I ever need outside help. The SL is on MB Warranty so don't need to worry about that.

As it stands for the time being I am keeeping the SLK32 so my name can remain SLacKer as it covers both . I will need to use both to see if one replaces the other or compliments it (well that's my official excuse and I am sticking to it)

The best manual I have is the crossfire pdf which covers most things. I believe that in the states you can buy the manuals from the MB network.
