Dear All,

We have had the air-con gas replaced on my wife's SLK320 (2000 model year), but the air that is delivered to the cabin is not ice cold - any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

The incoming air is never ice-cold in Mercs.

It is in my C Class.

The cold air flow in the SLK is as if the car did not have air con (does that make sense)?

It's not in my C Class and never has been in any other I tried.

But I see you're saying it's not working at all. Could be a whole bunch of things - controls, compressor, condenser etc so you would need to get someone to look at it. Did they do a leak test when it was regassed?

Thanks for the info regarding compressor etc.

They don't need re-gassing unless there is a leak.

The leak is almost always at the condensor.
