S 320CDI owners

Anyone own an S 320 CDI facelift 2003> I'm starting the search for one, just wondering what to look out for, are there any common niggles, what are they like to live with etc, any info would be a great help. They have to be one of the best value for money luxury cars around today, i'm looking forward to getting one, thanks all.

Gearboxes seem to be a weak point and can cause issues,check for regular oil changes. Rear diffs are known to go, air suspension is suspect and if it goes can cost a fortune to replace,ie £2k plus for rear shock replacement. Be very careful and make sure you get one with a full verifiable service history.

They were a £50k plus car when new and come with £50k plus repair bills. HTH
