Lost spare key - CLK320
Discussion
Hi - search is down, so sorry if this is an old question.
My father recently "lost" the spare key fob for my mother's 1999 CLK 320. Thev'e only had it a flippin' fortnight. He was faffing about on the drive and we're not sure if it has actually been stolen by a passer-by, or just simply vanished into the ether.
Can anyone advise how difficult (or impossible) it is to get a) a replacement fob, or b) replace the lot and have new keys encoded? My worry is that if it was nicked when the car was on the drive, then the car is readily available for anybody to pinch later on...
Any advice gratefully received.

You will have to order a new key from a dealer, not cheap around the £200 mark and can take a week to arrive as germany send the remote and blade seperatly.
However, you have the security of the dealer beeing able to delete the key track for the lost key making it useless in te hands of any 'crims'!
