Hi All,

My parents are looking a getting an 09 CLS, budget of around 30k including whatever they get for trading in their 07 CLS 350. Anyone think you'd get a 500 for that if you haggle hard? I can't imagine that these fly out the show rooms, as the vast majority seem to be diesels.

Only one way to find out, make an offer on one!

The 500 is rare, demand may be low, but supply will be also, so a huge discount may not be needed for any dealer that has one to shift it, especially if it's a desirable spec.

I had a similar(ish) budget when I bought my E in October 2 years ago, got 13% off windscreen price if that's any help as a guideline?

Mercedes UK have no 09 plate 500s but there are three 08 plate cars from £26k to £27.5k. I'd be surprised if you could get an 09 plate for £30k - that'd be close to 50% depreciation in one year!

mine was 58% of original list at 3500 miles/6 months, anything is possible.

I prefer the old one. I would rather save a nice sum and get a low mileage previous shape.
