Make sure the cubby box thing between the seats can be opened. Mine has been replaced once and still plays up. It's a real pain if you need something thats in there quick. It's a known fault.

Euro car parts website lists front discs @ £502.04 for oem or £50.04 for aftermarket ?, pads seem cheap.

Has anyone used the non OEM discs? and if so were they any good.

Just be careful the radiator is not leaking. I have just had a full gearbox rebuild because of the radiator leaking water and antifreeze into the gearbox. Apparently is a common problem with the CLK. Parts and labour are a fortune from a dealer and good indie's are rare.

These are not cars that can be run on a budget, especially if its an AMG as it is in my case.
