Paddle shift only. To be expected I suppose.
Yes, 2013! I got the money ready smile
It was always going to be paddle shift, there was never any debate about it being otherwise.

Geneva launch isnt confirmed.
300BHP motor isnt confirmed.
Sub 1000KG is confirmed. 850 KG target weight is ignored.

Naff all has changed, fk knows where Autocar get their information from!

Thanks for old information. As it happens, neither of your information is confirmed either. They suggested a Detroit 2013 launch earlier this year, then denied it again when I last questioned them. The engine spec *still* isnt confirmed. It varies between 250 and 300BHP depending on who you ask, when you ask and which dept is providing the answer.

I think there should only be one 4C. Car like this does not need more than one version. And that version should be the 300HP one smile

I would prefer it to be a convertible to start with. Don't mind 250 vs 300 hp.

Put a proper 6 speed manual in it, sell it for $50,000 and watch if fly out the showroom!

I hope ingress/egress for the Alfa will be better than the Lotus Elise or similar to the Evora. If Lotus could have sold the Evora for $50,000, they would have become a household name in the USA and we wouldn't even be thinking about the 4C!

Spending the day with ARUK on Wednesday.

Given that people are now being asked to declare, in writing, their non binding interest in a 4c, I'm hoping for some good news from them smile

If they had a manual as well as the F1 shift, they still wouldn't sell many manual cars. F1's sell better, it is they way forward.

They are??? From whom???

Have you asked whoever is asking you if they have a confirmed spec to give you? If so that will be the first confirmed spec available worldwide to the general public. Are you getting anything in writing back from Alfa? Is DD part of the ARUK crew you are spending the day with? Last I heard for Uk deliveries he was in charge.

Dealers have been asked to ascertain interest from potential serious customers for about a month now.

I doubt specs are even decided on yet. I've been hands on with a 4c non road going prototype & it's easy to get in too (unlike the Elise etc).

Yes, DD is still IC so I'm hoping to hear good news from him ref a 4c or even Giulietta Coupe on Wednesdaysmile

Keep us in the loop SR please. Giulietta Coupe sounds interesting . . . . .

I wish I had the Photoshop skills, but I can visualise an update of the old Giulietta Sprint/Giulia Sprint translating very well on the Giulietta floorpan. I can see it in my minds eye but just can't put it into a mock up alas . . .

Ive been hands on with several of the different models for the 4C. Im on Alfa Italia's speed dial for when a new prototype comes out to keep my "interest" high. I still cant get them to confirm *anything*. They know full well patience is wearing thin. I deal more with Alfa Italia than ARUK these days...I prefer to get my PR crap from the horses (head) mouth rather than its arse.

I think I heard that they will officially release 4C at Detroit auto show, and that would be 13.1.2013. Do I remember right?
