Man I hope the 4C comes to fruition.

Mind you if i was in the market for such a car, it would be difficult to ignore the newest boxster!

It was always going to debut at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show?

Well thats news to anybody at Alfa that has talked to either the general public OR journalists in the last 6 months until, oooo, maybe say the last week?

So dear Autocar, when exactly was it from that you "always knew"? As for ahead of schedule? Well Alfa's best guess at Geneva this year was debuting in America last 1/4 2013.

Depressing when you have to do a journalists job for them frown

I hope they put the 300 HP unit in straight for all cars. I seriously consider buying this if it half as good as it looks smile I could be the best track car for the money. KTM X-box is very fast with similar weight.

Well, some of you might have read the article in evo about the new 'gransport' for Maserati, seems like the head of Both Alfa Romeo and Maserati knows petrolheads- Make a car light and racey!

The car is a bit of a throw back, with a 900kg wieght its pretty amazing.

The only thing that worries me about the new 4C is the gearbox, really think a manual GB would have made it the golden boy of the magizines, like the GT3, it will just been more involving, which would suit the cars style. So hopefull the paddle shift will be as good the rest of the car!

I think 2014 is for USA and 2013 for Europe.

"was expected to bow in production trim at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show, but is now tipped to debut in about a year from now (next summer) - a good half-year ahead of schedule."

So they would just present the car next year and start selling them 2014?

Id rather they sorted the car and we had to wait a year more for it, Id hate for it to be an 'Almost' car. Alfa/Maserati seem to have hit the nail on the head with this platform, as long as the engine is racey, nice high redline, and of course the gearbox is sharp, I cant see it being anything less than spectacular.

Although I doubt Id be saying that if I were hoping to get one!

Is it going to have electric PAS? Hope not.

It really could do without any PAS like the Elise.
