I once saw Lord Blue Evo II car at a Lancia meet in Stirling about seven years ago badges 'Monte Carlo'

If everything goes to plan I shall have an Evo II Lord Blue in a week or two to sit proudly next to my 8v... I am very, very excited biggrin

I am sure that somewhere I have seen a non evo integrale carrying monte carlo badges. My understanding of these badges is that it just depended on which market the car was sold in, or what they had hanging around at the factory at the time.

old thread resurrection!?! re-reading some of the posts shows that there is lot of myth that perpetuates around these cars - the posts in this thread could have been typed yesterday.

I will not add to any myths here - just wanted to say that there is a lord blue evo 2 for sale in Wigan which I used to own, curious if that was the car you were on about, deltashed.

mustard, how can you avoid the left hookers when they all are.

I own a 1991 Evo 1 Homologation water spray model, they only made 500 for rally rules, 16 years old and surprises every Subaru, Mitsi etc.

5000 Evo1's were made with the IC waterspray fitted... but not plumbed in

Evo2's were badged 'montecarlo' in the UK market and 'Sedici' in the German market

As Dave80's suggests, there are many myths and quirks surrounding these tremendous cars.....

You dont own an Integrale, you merely look after it whilst it is in your care, before you hand your stewardship on to the next lucky person.

Never! They'll have to prize the keys out of my cold, lifeless hands (8 years and counting!)

Or that is the other equally acceptable point of view smile
As far as my wife is concerned my car has been for sale now for over 6 months. Technically it has, but its expensive and Ive been the laziest salesman since the dawn of time smile

I like my stewardship!

Your right about myths and bullshit

I am now on my second integrale my first was an 8 valve which I had for 2 years. Apart from a new battery it ran like a dream.
I have had my Evo1 for nearly 2 years and it never ceases to amaze me, its the only car I have owned that gives me such a blast. I had an original ur quatrro, and quite frankly the delta would wup its ass, although straight line speed the Audi would be the clear winner, however cross country the grale would eat its pants.

Sure rust is an issue, but then I have seen other cars of the same age suffering the same fate. Parts are quite easy to source, and there are a good range of specialist suppliers on hand. Evoforum is a good place to get some info. Some members are running very quick machines, a mate is running an 8valve that would scare the pants off most supercars. Another mate has one as a daily driver which he has owned for several years. The only real issue is you cannot do any jobs on the engine without a major headache, as there is zero room.

The thing about owning one is the amount of comments you get from folks about them, boyhood dreams etc. Ive had people hanging out of car windows taking pictures of it.

Ownership of any car is fraught with problems, bury the throttle on a grale and those problems disappear along with most of the other traffic on the road.

To Dave80s

Well, the car I was after was a Dundee car for sale on this website, the deal on my car fell through and I lost the purchase.

I have now bought your old car from Wigan Sports and Prestige. I pick it up when I return home to the UK on the 28th.

I havent seen the car or had it inspected so I don't know too much about it.

If you could email me I would like to talk to you about the car.

would it not be fair to say that all evolutions of the integrale model line were solely for one purpose, rally homologation.
