This is what happens when wife who is used to 4 wheel drive volvo borrows your 3.0 V6 RWD Alfa on a damp greasy day.

Thankfully she is ok, just shaken up

So my lovely 76000mile 2 owner car is dead. If you hear of a replacement, please let me know, as to quote my wife "I owe you a car" (she was only covered 3rd party on this).

Getting 3/4 million miles out of it was good though.

That's a shame Jamie, glad she was OK though and presumably on her own without a little one.

There will be a queue for the Engine I expect, I know somebody who was looking for a 3.0 V6 for a 116 Rally car project!.

Ironically I had only just given the engine a clean bill of health with a good rolling road results, and good vital signs.

Not going to break it until I find a replacement, as I might need some elements.

Sad to see any car damaged, but almost ironic after what you'd posted on the 1750 thread?

Sorry to see this Jamie. Glad Mrs Torch is OK though, that's the main thing.
You should be able to use this to your advantage for a long time to come.

Ouch.

Impressive how the main compartment held up.

OH is fine, which is the important thing.

Yikes!

Well done car, on keeping the most important element safe - bet she's bruised and shaken, though.

Heck of a lot of damage from what looks like a fairly small tree.....

So sad mate but glad your lady is ok. I know how it feels to be used to driving a modern Alfa then switching to an old RWD Alfa with similar but thankfully less dramatic results frown

Real shame, but the important thing is that she's ok. Any of those impacts on the drivers side would have been very nasty. What tyres - Pirelli P6000s??

Indeed, bit hard for greasy roads.

Have you recently upped her life insurance?
She could do you for attempted murder.

Hey, I only just got the car and was searching for new wheels.

If she does me for attempted murder, then my defence is failed suicide........ I warned her it was arse end happy.
