How about a Pistonheads (cheapish) Italian car meet?

Please bring the Disco, we may well need a tow truck.

Why do you think I've got it?

(Could also bring car trailer if it helps)

So you know Adriana too? She's put her prices up recently, but is still reasonable value, if you don't mind the facial hair.

Would a two year old Giullietta pass muster chief, even if it's a (cough) diesel...? Well, at least it's red, Italian, got tan leather bumholders and sexy(ish) alloys.

Gaydon would be a fab venue - there are some nice corners between my gaff and that emporium of all things British and ace!

All Italian heaps of any vintage, colour and creed are welcome. We need to think of a date.

I have one red one and one silver one but would bring the red one, if it doesn't explode.

How about a Saturday in June?

There have been various good suggestions about venue etc but I still incline to Gaydon because it is near the middle of the motorway network. Lunch venue suggestions invited. There is a pretty country house hotel near Alcester but the food was a bit meh when I last went there. I mentioned the Boot at Lapworth, a large gastropub in a pretty rural setting near a flight of canal locks, with good country roads nearby. Good food; not cheap but not mega expensive either. Hilarious orange and be-blinged Solihull ladies with Botox shots and convertible Audis much in evidence*. Any other ideas?

* Speaking as a West Midlander by birth (I escaped a while back), we West Midlanders just cannot handle wealth and invariably become vulgar and blingy if we get a bit of cash. Good comedy value.

There aren't a lot of free saturdays in June for those of us who (optimistically) point our old italian metal toward Le Mans and Spa.

May I humbly suggest July or August?
