By the way there is no such thing as a 4C demonstrator, the only cars built are customer cars.

Mine's got 7500km now. Still a total hoot. Still not parking it anywhere and somehow still got my license. Not a tick wrong.
I wonder how I managed to live without it now. Driving it and living up to driving it is not totally unlike sex.

On worldwide forums lots of whining from the US market on just about every aspect of the car but not totally sure that is down to the car or society over there. Some cars have had issues with front shock failures, apparently a visible production error with the shocks themselves - of course leading to wild theories about Italian car making. Obviously a much much worse issue than the cars bursting into flames like some other known sportscars. Main topic currently seems to be when or if there will be dedicated OZ Ultraleggera's and if the chiptuning by Pogea is legit, and if so will it destroy the transmission.

Had mine for a month , car is absolutely brilliant , only negative for me is the parrot radio or whatever it's proper title. The whole car takes design back to the real principles needed to get a totally pure experience yet the parrot us just so xxxxx complicated " why !!

Sadly owing to a wandering pheasant mines just gone to the body shop quite a few bits to replace but impressed every single part down to all the silly little clips etc arived within 4 days of ordering

The 4c really is a joy to own and despite waiting years I'm so glad I stuck with the order

I hated mine too, to start with. The sound quality isn't great but you do get used to how it works and it's actually not that bad when you've played with it a bit..... not that I use it much as you can't hear it over the engine anyway so little point having it there.

Exactly, have seem some people replace theirs but hard to imagine what radio can win it over that exhaust.
I still find it incredible how someone can come up with a radio where you need to go into the menu to change the volume (or is that down to me not reading the manual?). Worthy of a python sketch. wink

Funny you should ask, mines just gone back to alfa to have the drivers side lower front suspension arms changed as they were creaking like you'd imagine a 200,000 mile gtv would.

The passenger side was done 500 miles earlier.

The car has done 3600 miles and lives in a heated garage on foam flooring 😀

Apart from that the rest of the car is good, it's very fast.

It's not dangerous on british roads, it can be a little recalcitrant on the edge but that's what you want from your sports car.

Guest alfa in willenhall have been looking after me and I must say I'm very impressed so far!

Wow, first I've heard. Is there any backstory to that? Bought new? Reaction from Alfa?

No back story, bought new (well with 1100 miles). It seems it's either a new style part or the original but then tightened up properly as the passenger side has been fine since they fixed it.

I've got in touch with alfa uk as I'm less than impressed but to their credit they are on the ball and refreshingly honest. I will get the final feedback from alfa in Turin tomorrow. I just want to know that I won't be taking it back every 3k for a suspension refresh!

Mine also exploded it's battery 500 miles ago splashing it's acid all over the turbo pipe and brake pipes, which all had to be replaced under warranty, again though alfa were honest and said its the only one they've seen do it. The customer service is a step up from other brands I've dealt with so far so I can't complain.

I may be jinxed with car reliability though, the most reliable car I've ever owned has been a lotus! biggrinbiggrin

+1 !

I've heard there is a yearly maintenance that involves re-torquing of a lot of bolts at the chassis. Reported to take just a day with some, a few days with others (not entirely sure how it would take a few days to do that but that is what I heard, sounds like a dealer that had trouble with planning tbh). Mine is coming up soon so very curious.

Keep us up to speed with any feedback you get from Turin please, and thanks for sharing.
