Thinking of replacing my Audi R8 with a 4C does anyone know when it will be available to order?

They're available to order now but good luck getting one anytime soon, my local dealer sold out their 2014 and 2015 allocation months ago! The first UK customer cars (Launch Editions) are delivering this week so there will probably be some coming up for sale from speculators asking a premium over list rolleyes

Contacted Guildford Alfa, they don't have any..... Oh well will have to change my R8 for something else.

My shortlist is

1. Alfa 4c - My preferred option
2. Jaguar F-Type
3. Maserati Ghibli

Interesting shortlist. You do know a 4C has zero room, right? Going grocery shopping means driving around with a lettuce on your lap. Just saying biggrin

I spoke to the sales manager of motorvogue in Northampton yesterday, he has just had an order cancelled. The car is 8C Red and believe due for delivery in October.

Speak to John Crooks - Alfa Sales Manager.

If you don't have any joy have a chat with Paul Jones - Alfa Brand Manager at Chris Variava in Nottingham.

There's a 4C sitting in Donald McKenzie Motors showroom in Inverness ( I seen it on Saturday). Just delivered Friday (dealers allocation I believe). Don't 'think' it's sold!

Two arrived at Western Alfa in Edinburgh on Thursday. Not sure if they're both spoken for yet.

I was interested to see how the 4c compared in raw stats against the R8 after seeing this thread, I thought the r8 would be significantly quicker past 60, but the 4c almost matches it on its 0-100 time according one Italian magazine. With the r8 hitting it in 9.9 (EVO test, manual), and the 4c hitting 99mph in 10.07!

Not only that but it is 0.2sec faster over a 1/4 mile than the R8, getting there in 12.5 seconds!

I know the R8 that was tested was manual, but I was rather impressed it matched 420 horsepower when the numbers got higher and higher which is normally where small light cars with 'moderate' power get left behind.

Fiat group are on a role at the moment with eco cars.

The 'new' twin air engine is now producing 105bhp, a full 20bhp than the orginal, which is mental for only 98g/co2.

Real world for a 4C is between 7l/100km (slow) and 10l/100km (hooning), according to google that would be between 30 and 20 mpg - is that right?
No idea what an R8 does in reality.
