Looking to get a cheap runaround for the work journey etc and have seen a 2.0 TS locally. What are realistic MPG figures for this?

Currently using Jeep Cherokee which is silly on fuel, so want something with ok MPG but not a dull box on wheels. Hence thinking GTV :-)

Cheers, Mark

I do 60 miles per day, mostly A and M roads, generally in a spirited fashion, and get around 31/32 MPG

I never bettered 34mpg in my 1999 2.0L GTV. Daily commmute comprised a mixture of 40 odd miles on M4, 20 miles on A roads and 5 miles through town.

Much the same here- 32-35MPG on mostly B roads with some city driving. 145 Cloverleaf was very similar, but gave 38-40 on a motorway cruise.

N/a 20v Fiat Coupe worth a look maybe?

I have the same engine in my Bravo HGT and returns similar figures as what people are quoting for the GTV. I usually get 32-34mpg over a tank driving sensibly, mostly on NSL A roads and nose to nose city driving.
