4c prices dropping....?
Discussion
On the other hand, from the rumor mill :
http://www.automnews.com/?p=70369
“Price of the standard model will be raised by €3,000 at the end of October. Got all this information from the sales rep that is selling me one at the moment,”
Although it is clear to see from adverts some have bought for speculation. A 4C is a niche car so should be no surprise turnover is not that quick.
Apparently to some though, it is.

Have some of the speculators got caught out and has the bubble burst ?
I see targa florio in chichester have dropped their price very quickly compared to others....
And no I am in no way connected... Just an observer
I was thinking the same. There are still many up for £60k (or as near as makes no odds) but a couple near (and even below) £50k which could indicate speculation gone wrong and money needed to pay off a loan??? Also I notice it's the same ones still for sale. I think the moneyed speculators are still sitting on them and hoping to make a profit in 3 - 5 years. TBH, the 'standard' SE model will not hold value like the LE due to rarity so anyone trying to punt one now is unlikely to make moneyI see targa florio in chichester have dropped their price very quickly compared to others....

Personally, I bought mine to drive so not really bothered other than at resale time (it's bound to arrive one day) when the less they drop in value the better.
I do like the wheels and headlights on that show Spider. Any ideas what wheels they are?

A few tried to make quick money and to be fair the first few clearly did. Where the market goes now I don't know. Its a cracking car & supply will always be minimal which will help.
Mine is to be driven & enjoyed, if it depreciates no more than any other car Im happy. It may be a seriously collectable car one day but it will be many years. Production I cant see going on for many years unless prices rise noticeably as I cant see how they are making any money on them, IMO a heavily hand built car for 50K isn't sustainable.
Ive been told it was built as a lead model to relaunch the brand, if true what a master stroke
Supply & demand if owners are lucky will see depreciation less than other makes but as with all cars its a lottery .
Cars are things designed to be driven & enjoyed, if you just view it as an investment go buy a painting or a nice swiss watch

Don't forget maintenance costs; Ferrari CCB rotors, clutches, F1 pumps/actuators and belts are expensive..Thanks

i dont have to worry about that now! its very rare to have to replace the carbon discs, the belts are every 3 years and i'd b more worried about clutch than f1 pump.Edited by DeltonaS on Monday 1st December 18:41
but back to the 4c, anyone have any views on my orig questions?
Yes, they are colour sensitive but that is SO very personal.
I was lucky enough to see a number together recently and
to my taste even the two different 'whites' made a big difference.
I was taken round the MIRA handling circuit in whatever the current 4C incarnation is and it felt SO much more sure footed than the LE that I experienced earlier on in the year (also on track).
I think that it's a brilliant little car on track,
but with its tiny luggage space and very small fuel tank
I'm not sure about it for real life use on the road.

A 4C shows up in the USA on ebay. Claims to be the first in the country.

What is notable to me is that it doesn't have the spider eyes. I didn't know that styling quirk had been resolved, but it needed to be.
