I've just bought a GT with the 2.0 jts engine and it looks as though the head needs changing, does anyone know if the head is secured by stretch bolts ? I know the t-spark does but i'm seeing conflicting info on the interwebz smile

Does it need changing due to large carbon build ups?

(Sorry no idea on the bolts.)

Tappets have failed and mullered the inlet cam, so i'm just going to swap the complete cylinder head with a good used one. I think it's been run with low oil in the past.

Not at work now so I can't look it up but, stretch bolts or not, I always replace head bolts. They've done a tightening/loosening cycle at least once and if one breaks as you're tightening the head back down THEN you will wish you had fitted new!
