Alfa GTV TS Drive shaft boot / gaiter - o/s boot split wide open - does this let all gear oil out, or slow seepage via any wear in shaft end seal?

Looks like fair bit of oil around - where do you top it up? / check level?

The oil you see, is it black and more like grease? The CV boot is separate to the gearbox oil, its basically self contained and full of CV (specific type) grease.

You need to get it fixed quickly before the CV joint picks up dust and git and wears out.

If you only see oil, it may be the oil seals around the drive shaft, where it inserts into the gearbox are on their way out. Again, these are separate to the CV boot itself.
