The rear parking sensers I think are sensing wrong the car beeps as soon as i put it in reverse .
It stops after a few seconds and does'nt beep when im close to a wall . has any body has this before and is it an easy fix ?

The rest of the car is brilliant so I,m not bothered really would just be nice to fix.

If its anything like the alfa gt I owned you had better get ready for that just to lead to another problem, then another followed by a couple more. I spent over £5,500 on repairs to my GT in the 9 months I owned it trying to get it perfect. In hindsight I should have just let the little niggles go and you will have a happy alfa.
Still...Loved my GT just decided it wasn't a car for my OCD.

Turn the ignition on (don't start it) - put it into reverse and then listen closely to the sensors in the bumper - they make a faint clicking noise when they are working - silent when they're broken

Inner two are a bit of a pain to get at, outside two are easier - available easily from ebay

Which GT do you have?

The proper one, the pretend one or the pretend one that sounds like a tractor?

Good purchase by the way, and the good thing, is that you don't see many about so they feel even more special.

The parking sensors on my GT never worked until I turned off the traction control. They work fine now! Go figure

It's been a while but from what I recall - replacing the sensors is quite straightforward, but getting the bumper off if you need access is a right pain in the arse due to the number of different fixings used. I paid someone to do the job instead smile

Its the ones in the middle that are a b*****d. You can get at the ones on the sides without removing the bumper

I replaced my 2 central ones a few months back, its not too bad a job.
If none of your sensors are working it may be the control unit that's at fault.
They omit a very faint clicking if they are working, you can put the ignition on and put it in reverse and have a listen.
Replacements are around £15 off ebay

http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_tr...

You could even buy one to see if you can get it going to prove the system works.
Have a look at this thread:-

There are other threads about parking sensors which were also helpful.
The sensors will probably need to be painted, I primed mine with plastic primer then dabbed them with touch up paint using a paint sponge, it worked well.
Also might be worth checking the plug connectors clipped under the bumper at the offside rear wheel, they're in a position where they can get covered with spray and muck off the rear wheel.
