Am I heading in the right direction? The fuel consumption figure looks a tad optimistic on Auto Trader, the car does look lovely though. I have a maximum budget of £6,000. Any help / advice is appreciated, thanks.

I had 2 years in a mito sprint for commuting.
1.3l and could touch 100mph
Realistically I was getting 55mpg but when driving faster would be mid 40s.
Seats were a little hard over long distances,
Underneath wasn't faring so well with surface rust in lots of places in the engine bay
It was the 95bhp Model, I think others were 85bhp in 1.3 and 105 or 120 for the 1.6.
Blue and me leaves a lot to be desired and being a small diesel it takes a long time to warm up in the cabin on cold mornings
I traded it in for the new 105bhp sub 1litre multi air model after being promised 60mpg by the salesman......very optimistic as I only got mid 20s whilst running it in so chopped it in against an Abarth...if your only getting that consumption then in my view you should at least have some fun.

Same engine as a Punto so reliable and low on diesel. Always 55 mpg and yes 190 kmh on the satnav. Pulls from 1700 revs. Keep it between 2 an 3k and you'll be fine. It really needs a 10 mins warm up.
