Hi

Anyone on here own or owned a TVR Griffith or Chimaera and had a go in a Brera? I am thinking about buying a 2.2 Brera S as my winter car but not sure if I will fit and there's nowhere near where I can try one? I am 6 foot 3 but have read that headroom might be a problem. Can anyone cast any light?

Thanks.

L.F.

Almost. I own a '73 TVR 3000M and a Brera 3.2S and I'm 6'1". I fit in my Brera no problem, but that's with the seat on it's lowest setting, and positioned almost as far back as it will go (which isn't very far due to the back seat being there) and there's not much headroom left.

You might squeeze in but I'm not sure how comfortable you'll be, and don't plan on ever carrying back seat passengers. Having said that, as a TVR owner, you rightfully prioritise fun over practicality!

I've got a TVR Griffith and a 159 2.2 JTS Ti (not quite a Brera but the front end is the same). The 159 is a very comfortable place to be for long journeys (I'm 6'4"). It's not much of a sports car though - more of a GT.

Holding deposit placed today on a red Brera Prodrive 2.2. Just want something a bit more exciting than the Skoda Esatate I have been doing most of my day to day driving in. Not bothered if it's not that fast.

Interesting...I've been looking at Octavia vRS Estates as a possible replacement for my 159 Ti SW but can't get my head around selling the Alfa for a Skoda. Same front end as your Brera. I'm 6 4 and no problem you'll be fine.

Bought it yesterday. Collecting next week. Tightish fit but OK. Rear, rear 3/4 and side views are fantastic; not as keen on the front myself. Interior is very nice indeed with the leather dash.

My Skoda Superb 1.6 Estate is, dare I say it, superb at what we bought it for but mon dieu it's a boring drive.

Leather dash is a good bonus on the 2.2, as not many buyers opted for it when new.

I loved my 2.2 Brera S, they are great cars, well done on finding a 2.2 with the leather dash, they are very rare. thumbup

Always interesting to see the common theme of Alfa/TVR purchases by the same buyer, some also go for Saab.

Ex TVR Chimaera/Brera owner here, enjoy the new Brera!

Red Brera Speciale now tucked up in the garage. Gorgeous car - even my wife likes it.

P zeros are a bit noisy on some surfaces but apart from that it's great. I also like the fact that you hardly ever see another one.

Be careful with the Brera - the seating position is high & at 6'3" you will feel like you're sat on it, rather than in it. Better with a GT imho.
