I have test drives of new Spider and Coupe coming up. Alfa are pushing this car hard (to me at least). Will be interesting to see how it compares with my Evora.
I would be very interested in your thoughts between them.
Not just the outright performance, but including the daily practicality of them.

I will post something after. Practicality is easy though. Evora wins, back seats, reasonable boot, narrower than a bus, cruise, Bluetooth, nav, home link etc

I like the evora looks. Back seat gets used for some school runs (13 year olds just fit) and I can carry two tyres to get them fitted. You asked about practicality its a non argument, no way the Alfa can match the Evora.

Test drive is booked in, I have the car for 3 hours, it will be a spider. The catch is I have to wait until July

Practical , my thoughts from coupe ownership

It has a minute boot but I managed a 3000 mile trip to Italy with my wife last year touring Europe down and back so that can be done but you won't get a weeks shopping from waitrose in the boot.

It's low so speed bumps can be an issue but even the big ones taken at an angle you can creep over .

Biggest negative as it's wide is parking , the doors huge and needs to be open a fair amount if your a rounder fella like me to get in and out so squeezing it into parking spaces has to be thought about .

Fuel tank is small But mpg is immense so that should not be an issue

No spare but that's common.

That's about as negative as I can be and the pleasure if iwnership so outweighs any little practicality issues , so many people say nice things about the car, so many let you out at junctions , it's just a nice place to be and is such fun to drive

If you do get one reversing sensors are an absolute must have as rear vision is poor when parking .

It sounds very much like the Exige, parking wise.
I always have to find an end space or a parallel space to be able to open the door wide enough.

I can live with that.

I guess coming from a Lotus, 4C ownership isn't that much different, but I can see why people coming from a 'normal' car can get caught out by the perceived shortcomings.

I park the Evora in end spaces where I can, it makes getting out over the sill much easier and saves having to move the seat.

For me the Evora and the Alfa if I like it the Alfa, is/will be my daily driver. So a modicum of practicality is useful
