Tracing history of a GTV

Hi all, i have bought a little 2001 GTV T.Spark and i want to try and trace some of its history. Its stamped up with main dealer stamps (DESIRA) and specialists up until a few years ago but has little paper work with it. Desira whilst still in existence haven't been much help, they told me the dealership my car came from has long gone and they weren't anything to do with the Desira Group anyway! Sounds like he was palming me off to be honest but who knows!

Does anyone know if Alfa Romeo keep any centralised records of main dealer history? Or any other avenues i can approach?

for around £5.00 you can request previous owner records from the DVLA, its form V888

I did it for an old Alfa I bought and got a load of info on all the previous keepers going back to the late 70s. I then wrote to a few of the addresses and managed to cobble together quite alot of missing history after a couple of them replied to me by email and then we spoke on the phone.
