Been looking around at GTV's. I know they are fwd and not the last word in performance. But they are smaller and lighter than the Brera and IMO look better.

The T-Spark ones seem to go for a pittance. But in all I've not seen many for sale at all, ebay seems the only place to have more than a few listed.

It's the V6's that interest me. But prices seem hugely steep on these.

T-spark maybe £800-1500
V6 £6000+

Is this their trend at the moment? Have they reached the age were they are becoming desirable and on the up, or are prices still falling?

Hi, in my experience the V6 is as you have said 6K upwards, mint low mileage/owner cars can be 8k plus. The T spark cars that are any good are in my mind way more than your guide, £800 buys a parts donor these days. One or two owner cars with decent history etc seem to be 3k plus, if you can find one that is. Well worth getting the best that you can find and i agree, far better looking than the model that replaced it. Sadly prices are only going one way with either model and that it isnt down. I think the bottom of the depreciation was around 2007. I remember the old 70`s GTV`s, couldnt give them away at one point and now, well you can guess I am sure. Regards.

I've been looking for a while and there have been plenty of decent TS for around for the 1K mark, V6s all go for 3k+. Weird as V6 156s look to be worth no more than TS ones.

Any Alfa that old is going to take the purchase price + to keep it going within the first year or two!

I have visions of turning up at national Alfa day and seeing lots of confused elderly owners club members discussing how they have been told to buy a Camaro by some bloke in a GTV.

They are trying to be clever and think they are taking the piss, under the misapprehension that I have a 1 dimensional interest in cars.

Yet a quick look at my profile will show anyone that I like all types of cars, from various manufacturers.

I'll have a GTV V6 for sale soon, I've got brembo front discs / pads to fit before hand though as the current ones have corroded a bit from lack of use (only changed them 3 years (~5,000 miles) ago!)

Only mention it as you're in MK and I'm in Northampton, if you wanted to have a look around one you'd be welcome. As I say it's not actually 'for sale' yet, but poor Alfie just doesn't get used enough and it's frankly not fair so once tidy he'll sadly be off to pastures new hehe

Thanks for the offer. I might have to take you up on that. Sadly I'm not around for a few weeks though. Do you know what sort of money you'd be after for it. And what colour is the interior? Happy for you to PM me if you prefer. smile
