Alfa Romeo 147 collezione
Discussion
Hello all.
Rather excited as I have provisionally bought a Alfa Romeo collezione today. The car is 3.5k and has 50k miles. In This cost is a new mot and a full service. Does this sound good or not and also is it true that this version is a limited edition of 500 cars?? If so what differences does the car have to the others and anything alas I should be cautious of before actually hand my money over ?

It has leather seats and specific collezione alloys, the rest seems to be standard.
The 147 are strong cars and there is little outside of wear and tear you need to pay attention to, the only things to check are a) Engine oil level, is this correct? and is there a tappety noise coming from the engine? If a petrol then the variator is likely needed, only a £90 part but requires the cambelt to come off, if a diesel...well its a diesel they are all tappety! b) When was the cambelt last changed, if a petrol it should be changed every 36k or 3 years (whichever comes first), or a diesel at 4 years or 60k (some say 72k). c) Suspension noise, the 147 suspension wishbones and bushes are easily worn, check they aren't knocking/creaking over bumps.

So not all that special then if it's just alloys haha. The dealer putting 12 months mot on and also a full service, front disks and pads, all the suspension sorted and the cambelt was done just 2000 miles ago so I feel I got a good deal . It's just the wait to pick it up is killing me
