Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio - Anyone Ordering One

As with all newly released top of the range cars discounts are had to get, but I also think that in 6-9 months it will be a good time to start negotiating, and luckily it falls in line with when it becomes viable to get rid of my 6 series. So I will likely wait until August / September.
The M3 / M4 have shocking residuals, so expect similar with the Alfa. It's pretty easy to get 15-18% on an M4 CP so it makes the M4 the cheaper car to buy. BMW FS and the dealer are discounting the car. Not sure if the discounts have properly started on the C63 but I've not seen any decent deals like I did with the last Coupe (which I owned).
I am pretty ruthless with deals and will buy either an M4 / C63 or Alfa QF based on the best possible deal. Having said that my heart is with the Alfa - it's epic, but I want to ensure the best possible deal!!
The C63 has had around £10k discount available since launch. Coupe currently can be had with £9400 off. The M3 / M4 have shocking residuals, so expect similar with the Alfa. M3/M4 have had around 15% off from 3 months post launch. Their residuals have been good so far from the early cars too.

Is the basic price for one of these the same as an M3?
Looking at the lease deals on offer on a like-for like basis, the M3's are nearly £100 PM more.
Which would tell me the discounts for the M3 are no longer there.
Even a dealer is advertising £5k of support without trying. Looking at the lease deals on offer on a like-for like basis, the M3's are nearly £100 PM more.

A quick call to a dealer shows there's still nearly £11k off a car with £65k list.

There's some serious confusion regarding these cars.
Supposedly no cars arriving til march. Now it appears some cars were delivered to customers on new year's eve, including Jeremy Clarkson. One other, a forum member had his arrive with the wrong spec.
Mine is built now I think and where I was told it had electric seats it now does not.
There's confusion elsewhere too.

Throughout the thread the main concern always was the dealer network and resolution of problems rather than concern about the car.
Shame
So having been told September 16 for delivery then March / April 17, I actually took delivery on Monday, which was a nice surprise!
It was the spec I ordered, so that bit worked. Bit miffed to find it only has 4 seat belts, no mention of that in the brochure.
I shan't write a big review, firstly I am vaguely trying to run it in and the roads have been wet and cold since I got it and secondly the professional writers just do it so much better than I can. I will just say that the write ups seem to match the experience so far.
Niggles:
no 5th seat belt,
can't make the exhaust full volume without turning off the traction control - which means you are sideways all the time,
totally unfathomable media player,
auto main beam thing infuriating (as in all cars),
Interior switchgear apparently fashioned from recycled Quality Street wrappers.
Pros:
Auto gearbox a delight, it seems to be able understand whether you want a punchy change with pops and crackles or a smooth quiet change with no apparent input from the driver other that the extent and rate of change of throttle position. Very, very clever.
Engine, chassis balance and brakes are absolutely astonishing.
DNA switch - in A & N modes, it is a magically calm and comfortable cruiser, in D it gets a bit angry and loud but only when you push on and in Race its just plain mean and angry the whole time. Ace!
For those of you who drove the manual cars at Milbrook, I have to say that the auto transforms the car into a totally different animal. Clearly the car was designed around this gearbox and not the manual. IMHO, the gearbox makes the car what it is. It is totally brilliant and a far better option than any double clutch I've driven.
Fit and finish on the car much better than the Millbrook cars as well.
Yes, I paid list for it and I will haemorrhage cash on it.
But I really couldn't care less.
It's just fabulous.
