The rear bumper has that odd winglet under the rear lamp cluster.
That winglet will be at a different angle/plane to the side body work hence the darkness....you can see the blue returns to the same tone further round to the rear...

It's a nice blue..

Test drive done - in short, quite like it.
Not enough drama at normal speeds re exhaust sound, but was told Alfa are working on a software update to open the valves in comfort / lower rpm'.

Didn't find the seats as comfy as the M3 - bolsters were a tad tight...

The ride was far, far better than the M3. As in a million miles better.
And the steering - a few other car makers can learn a thing or two from Alfa.

Even side on, the mid-match was obvious, even on the other side without an overhead light.
I'd just very carefully inspect the car if blue has been ordered.
Black was fine and so was the comp red.

20k.or under.
Low numbers in the UK, so I'm going with ~35k.
Thank you both. 20k was the figure I had in mind..
Alfa Finance quoted £19 after 4 years at 12k miles a year, I'd say that was pretty much on the money.
19k will surely be a very pessimistic residual value. If it turns out to be true then both Alfa and the Giulia will be dead and buried, probably for good. I'm sticking to my 35k prediction.

That's interesting about the software update. What it really needs is the option to have the fully loud exhaust in dynamic mode.

At the moment you only get it in race mode, when all of the traction control etc is off.

I didn't try race mode on the test drive for the obvious reasons, so never got to hear it at it's best!

I'm told there is a big difference, also evidenced by you tube videos.

Agree about the ride and steering, those are what really sold it for me!

Simple maths is that cars lose c50% of their value every 3 years. I don't see this being miles away from that figure. The chances of it bucking the system and being worth more are slim at best, it's more likely to be under, but not by much.

So given the discounts dealers are dishing out now, add a year and minus a manufacturers warranty. I'd say Alfa finance have a reasonable idea of how this is going to pan out.

We need more real world pics from people who have collected their cars already.

Test drive without race mode? Felt I had to, and can attest that full throttle upshift is both violent and accompanied by a gunshot from the rear of the car. I doubt it is going much faster than an M3 but it has drama in spades. Discounts are available, start with carwow and go from there. Ordered mine this week...

I have just realised that I prefer the carbon seats and have worked out why. The headrests. The headrest in the standard seat is imo ugly whereas the one on the carbon seat is integrated and just looks a hell of a lot nicer.

They're super-supportive too - 350 miles on Friday night and got out fresh as a daisy.

It was cold and wet so I didn't even ask. Should have at least revved it in Race mode.

I think car wow say about 3k off? The dealers are not being allowed to discount as much for now I think.

I'm lucky enough to qualify for 9.5% off Fiat Affinity scheme, also with 3 years free servicing, helped me place the order for sure.
