Lol comp red was/ is my first choice , but it's the only colour I've actually seen in the flesh . Saw the clarkson clip of the white and thought that looked good and then there is a blue one on here for sale that looks great .
First world problems lol

I'm currently in Gran Canaria on holiday (missing my QV) and I noticed something a little concerning. The Renault and Fiat hire cars here have a very similar paint colour to the Comp Red QV. Today I saw a new Clio and a Twingo in what I think is Comp Red. The Fiat I saw yesterday was also Comp Red. I bet it's not a £2k cost option!

I think Alfa red will also look nice. There is a guy on the Alfa forum with one. My first choice was actually montecarlo blue, but ended up with comp red. Also flirted with the idea of volcano black.

Alfa Red does look nice plus it's free!
I went for Comp Red as well because it does look amazing and I've had an Alfa Red car before.
Did briefly consider Vesuvio Grey. That would be a real stealth car with the matching dark alloys. However, I felt it was too understated on a car like the Quadrifoglio for my liking. If you want the stealth look it would be great though.
Colour was the toughest choice, along with which caliper colour - black, red or yellow?

That looks great. When I was at Geneva, I saw the Stelvio in the same colour, with the dark teledial wheels, I think they were bigger than the Giulia. It looked amazing in the flesh..

I'd be interested to see what deals have been had, for those who don't mind sharing.

A quick update, I drove my fathers 2010 C63 Performance Pack Plus (480bhp and LSD) Estate again by chance the other day (stuff to move).

The AMG is a car that I have always really enjoyed driving, but it felt like an an oil tanker when compared to the Alfa!!

I adjusted back after a while, but the whole thing felt so much heavier and leaden, especially the steering and turn in. The ride was also harsh in comparison.

Performance wise the AMG is still fantastic when you wring it's neck, but even when wringing it's neck it felt noticeably slower.

So no surprise that a 2010 car is behind a 2017 car, but before this I thought the AMG was pretty bang on in most areas, with nice steering and fun to drive. I certainly prefer it to my fathers 2015 C7 RS6, which although super rapid and capable, doesn't have the fun factor and crisp turn in of the AMG.

In the Alfa I seem to be spending a lot of my time flicking up every stone in every car park, those tyres are so sticky!

Posted in this thread a couple of times early on, but been quiet of late. Since I picked my Giulia up a couple of weeks ago I forgot to come back and post some pictures...

So here's a few from the last few weeks:

Had the car detailed last weekend and this was on the Saturday at pick-up. The Competizione Red just looks absolutely stunning in bright sunlight! (#nofilter! biggrin)

There's more on my instagram page (and i'll be posting plenty up over the months). Also got the first modifications coming through April. biggrin

In terms of the car itself though, it is incredible. I got to thread it through some great A/B-roads on the way back from VMAX at Bruntingthorpe last weekend, whilst 4-up. Everyone was blown away. The car just devoured the roads with such composure and agility for a saloon. The ride is sublime whilst its happening too, and the confidence it gives you as a driver is leagues beyond any M, RS or AMG product I've driven in recent years.

Collecting mine Saturday.

Showroom car so no say in spec but it's comp red, black teledials, greens stitching, elec setas and carbon s/w.

Not even driven one so here's hoping it's as good as everybody says !

Like Sixspeed am contemplating some enhacments....

Software flash available to make the exhaust full bore in Dynamic mode seems a no brainer and anoher 40/5bhp from a stage 1 map, both available for £400 apparently which seems great value/disconcertingly cheap.

Have also spoken to Tubi about an exhaust but not cheap for full system - race cats £2100, middle section £700 and back boxes £1700 all plus VAT.

Lastly the car has standard audio system and so I'll be looking in to speaker and amp upgrades.

That last one is about the best picture of those fantastic wheels I have seen - better than any Alfa press shots! Mine is coming with comp red and yellow callipers but I have gone for silver tele dials. I just pray they look as good!

Tonight I put the exhaust permanently in noisy mode, the same as Race mode.

I did this by undoing a couple of wheel arch trim clips and screws and pulling the vacuum pipe off the exhaust valve actuator. I then plugged it with a bolt and cable ties, tieing the pipe up.

I thought I'd try this for a while, particularly as three people have commented that 'it's a bit quiet' at work!

So far it sounds good but it's also liveable, no drone at 60mph, but have yet to do a motorway trip.

I'm going to do this for a while, until someone locally can map dynamic mode to full noise on, like njs and others can I am told do already.

It's been silly really, as standard I almost ended up driving half of my time in race mode just to get the full noise!

Because it's so quick when you are just leaning on it and then backing off, you don't often enough get the exhaust flap open on dynamic.....

Enjoy! Just clicked 1000 miles in mine today, and slowly opening it up more and more now. You'll love it. What are carbon "s/w" btw?

You've not even driven one yet! LOL

I've had similar quotes for my software map, but with a full turbo-back system with sports cats, will be looking closer to a 70-80bhp increase.
