There is so much mixed information on here, a lot of it lies that are being told my dealers.

Waiting lists being long
order books being full
get in now before price hikes
no discounts

All of that seems to be lies expect for an expect small price hike.

I would say the car should be had for around the 54/55k car quite easily. All this pants about no discounts is utter rubbish

Exactly the same happened when the F80 M3 was launched.

Just sit tight, unless you really must be the first to have one...

I thought you got emailed back with an offer direct from the dealership?
I sure did, lovely lady named Lauren.

Details kept and will revist when I am in a position to order.

My dealer is Oxford. I got zero discount even paying cash.
Cash will now 90% of the time get a worse discount than the guy taking finance.

Should be obvious really, some of the money made on finance is obscene and the car is always there for collateral.

Take the M3 deal I spoke about above.

Car = £66k

Discount with finance = £13k. 19% Discount

Discount with cash = £4k. 6% Discount.

The 'cost' of the finance was £6k so even taking that into account you would be £3k better off taking finance.

A number of cash buyers are now taking finance out and then paying it off in full after two months. Thus allowing them to enjoy the full discount.

That's all good and well, but those of us who placed initial orders were told no discount no matter how you funded it.

I ordered before Christmas and got a good discount. But only because of who I know, not what I know.

I'm told dealers only have a 5% margin and anything else is from Alfa. If they feel like discounting a particular franchise then that's up to them. Depends how many cars they'll sell I suppose.

Why don't you just use CarWow and get the big discount?

I initially did, of the 5 dealers, Northampton, Oxford, Hemel Hempstead, Colchester and Canterbury. Not one offered any discount what so ever.

I could do it again and get a discount, but I'll wait now and see what values do.

I will be trying one out next week. Let's see how it compares to the C63S.

Mine is due for mapping after run in. Autolusso reckon 600bhp is safely attainable from this car.

It would not surprise me. I suspect the car is pretty ripe for a slight tuning upgrade. Considering present performance numbers an extra 50bhp and 100nm of torque should make it an even more shattering car.

I wonder what could be achieved on the ring if they got it up to 600bhp given how quick it is in standard form?

7.32 in standard tune which puts it ahead of every other saloon car made as I understand it..if they could lop another 2-5 seconds off with more torque and power it would put them in the area of the Porsche Carrera GT etc.

I wouldn't map one too far, the ZF 8HP75 has a design limit of 750Nm.

I learnt that the expensive way with my 535d.

Above upgrade should be fine then at 700nm of torque. :-)

True. Bye bye warranty though. Quite a risk on a highly strung Italian.
