I believe the carbon seats are manual and not heated. Head rest is not adjustable either.
Standard seats are manual but you can add the electric seat pack which makes both front seats 8 way adjustable (including side bolsters) plus seat heating and heated steering wheel. Head rest is height adjustable on standard seats.

I liked the look of the carbon backed seats, but £3K is a lot.
The clincher was that I could have the standard seats but with elec memory adjustment, seat heating and heated wheel for £750.
I had the opportunity to order a black car with build slot that had carbon seats, but decided I actually prefer the standard ones.
The carbon seats are sexy, but I just couldn't miss out on seat heating and some extra comfort.
This car is an animal for sure, but when you drive one I think most will be pleasantly surprised by the comfort and refinement.
Hopefully its going to be great everyday car with comfort that also happens to be a good looking, fantastic super saloon.

Having driven cars with both I can definitely say that the carbon seats are the better option. I drove 350 miles on Monday night and got out without a single twinge (I had a Golf R before and couldn´t say the same about that).The clincher was that I could have the standard seats but with elec memory adjustment, seat heating and heated wheel for £750.

Also I´m using mine as an everyday car on a short commute and in town traffic the comfort, ICE and auto gearbox make for an excellent early morning companion.
That one looks lovely, bold move with those calipers but it's very nice!

After one and a half commutes (about 100 miles) here are my thoughts (for what they're worth) so far;
Boring stuff no one really cares about:
The cabin is nice enough but not even close to being as innovative or as feature-full (no heated seats? Really?) as something like an Audi or Merc, it's more interesting than most of them mind (I like the built in screen) but doesn't seem as well put together and doesn't have useless extras like a tilt and slide sunroof or button that drops the headrests in the back! The demo doesn't have carbon seats and it sounds like they're something everyone should spec?
Averaged a solid 22MPG in mixed driving, which is pretty good for me in this sort of car (having averaged high teens in the new C63, M3/M4 and outgoing RS4, then very nearly single digits in the RCF and VXR8). The only car to have got similar with my driving was the V60 Polestar.
As frustrating as only having it loud in race mode is, the novelty of this would wear off pretty quickly anyway.
And driving: Feels very poised and delicate compared to the German equivalent, in fact I'd be interested to know if it actually is smaller (because it feels very much so).
Driving in Race mode isn't the death sentence some would have you believe but I'd only go near it in mostly dry conditions and it requires a lot of concentration. In relatively clear conditions I found Dynamic mode, changing manually, with soft dampeners the best setting for having some fun on public roads. Still feels a bit twitchy but it'll not let you get into too much trouble.
It feels different to what most would deem as a 'similar' car. In fact the closest thing to it (that I've driven) is probably an M2 or the old 1M, it really is that nimble.
The engine is lovely, it's novel having a loud performance engine (it sounds great when changing flat out) that doesn't pop and bang these days and power delivery is very instant.
The gearbox frustrated me at first, you cant flick it down three times in quick succession and have it change down three times, like a DSG would, and it took me a while to figure out you hold the paddles down. This is great if you're just looking to find a particular rev range but not so good if you want a particular gear, I've found myself changing one too many or one too few a couple of times but that might change with a bit more driving and only really a problem if you're cruising along in 8th gear and want to quickly change down 3 or 4.
..... and how good are big, fixed paddles? Granted Mr Audi might think they look a bit silly but they're so much more convenient and practical than little ones on the steering wheel. I think the difference is that Alfa expect you to use them, whereas Audi and BMW, not so much.
I had to pop over to a JLR dealership yesterday afternoon and I thought it'd be funny to leave it parked right at the front, on my way in one of the staff asked for a look around so I gave him the keys, after business was concluded I went back out to find the engineers and service staff drooling over the engine but the sales guys bemused that it doesn't have full leather. Sign of the times I guess.
Anyway, they are my thoughts after my brief drive thus far, obviously I've no opinion on price, depreciation etc as I'm not likely to buy one (Mrs S wears the trousers and I have to have a daily that can take a few dogs in the boot!). I do really like it though.
