So why arrange a week long demo then, if there was never any real likelihood of you buying it?
I think most people would borrow a Quadrifoglio for a week if they were given the opportunity, whether or not they were looking to buy one.

I see where you're coming from, but I honestly wouldn't. If I liked it too much but couldn't have it, I'd be annoyed and I'd feel like a dick taking an important demo car away from the garage and real customers.

Enjoy the collection. Be nice to see some proper pics, especially of the interior.

Sounds a good approach, to not be a 'messer' or 'test-pilot'.

I don't think it was a dealer demo though was it? I thought it was via the fleet?
I agree you shouldn't waste a dealers time and take it when someone who might actually buy one might want it. However, that's up to the dealer and I don't think that was the case here anyway.

Great service from Westover Sports Cars. Alex did a sterling job of the whole order, purchase and handover. Part of the collection process included a full tank of fuel and a mission to use the car and not just polish and garage it.

I'll write up a proper dit later along with some pics.

Anyone with a QV coming, can I suggest that you get a good ppf? These cars kick up so much road debris. Got mine booked in as a result of yesterday's drive home.

Paint protection film?

I'm usually allergic to any mention of "detailing" etc but I've got mine booked in for a ceramic paint treatment, wheels and brake Calipers will also be coated.

Hopefully that will give the beautiful comp red paint some extra protection.

Btw make sure whoever does it is aware of which painted panels are carbon fibre. While the bonnet is obvious when open with it still so fresh from factory paint may not be 100% dry yet.

I decided to take the QV out for Sunday lunch today, despite the fear of stone chips. Luckily I was able to stick to the main roads with only a little bit of back road to negotiate at the end.

My word this car gets a lot of attention. I think the yellow callipers add a huge amount of flare to this car and even the guys at Meridian Milano came to the window when I drove past.

Needless to say I'm really enjoying it.

No more miles now until ppf is on

I saw a standard white one on holiday last year and a black one last week and the pictures really do not do them justice.

Really beautiful cars, health to drive Eddie and I'm looking forwards to a comprehensive write up in good time.

I was alongside a red Quad on sunday morning on Millbrook Road Southampton, if it was anyone on here, then good work it looked utterly awesome on a grey drizzly day!

er, do you know I can't remember!

I don't think so, I am fairly certain they were black.

That just looks stunning. The more I see these the more I like them.

May I ask, for those that have driven them a throttle related question. My pet hate on modern cars is the 'feel' of fly-by-wire throttles. It was bad on the later 156 when they introduced the JTS engines. And it is bad on the latest 3-series petrol engines I've driven. I just can't stand the feeling of not having your foot directly connected to the engine.
How does it feel on this?
