I think that it's across the board, but don't know that for a fact.

At the Millbrook launch event I asked the brand manager when RHD production would start, and she simply said that she didn't know and so didn't want to guess, so I probably should have seen this coming.

My order was somewhere in the first 20 for the UK, I guess a chunk of those will be demonstrators ( and one for Mr J Clarkson apparently)

Hey ho, there are worse problems to have and as a result I had a nice spin in a Quattroporte today, which has prompted some head scratching!

Good things come to those who wait ...

So I ordered mine in June, promised delivery in October. Then November.

Got a letter from Alfa UK over the weekend saying they are pleased to confirm that the delivery of my car will be in March 2017.

Having spent most of the month in the same state of excitement that I experienced on Christmas Eve 1979, I've got that 'dropped my ice cream' feeling now frown

Think I'll pop over to Maserati, see if I can find a way to cheer myself up....

I drove the auto QV on the 29th at Millbrook.

Quite simply, it's absolutely fantastic. The ride is much better than the M3/M4.

Mine arrives in March.

No discount. But I believe the price will go up next year due to the low GBP.

Discount in theory looks good but I suspect deal will still work out the same as without discount.

Looking at the offer the cars base spec is wrong based on the pack I got from Alfa. The interior offers are wrong. Electric seats on there are an option on the price list I have they are standard. There is an option for the steering wheel to be in carbon spec sheet I have direct from Alfa does not show that option.

Doesn't look that wrong to me. The carbon wheel is optional extra on the online configurator and so are the electric seats.

Has anyone secured a £10k discount though?! From their website, my bold:

Strange, I've been offered 3% through a dealer on CW.

Is the broadspeed discount not genuine then?

£49500 seems like an interesting prospect for one of these. Just got the rather nice brochure through the post.

Anyone know how the new tax will work across the 1 April date? I guess any cars bought after 1 April have the full tax impact of £310/year for 5 years, but what about cars bought before 1 April? Are they exempt, pay pre April tax rates on registration and then just pay the flat £140/year thereafter?

EDIT answers here:

http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/car-news/consumer-new...

Pre April 1 - £500 tax Yr 1, £270 thereafter (based on CO2 without changing to £140 flat rate)

Post April 1 - £800 tax yr 1, £450 thereafter

Not a massive difference but annoying.

Ignore my response about the broadsheet deal. It may be genuine and worth a 10k saving. Get in touch with them and find out. I think I may have been talking out my arse when I questioned the deal as I may have been misremembering the spec and options lists.

I've mailed them, I'll see what del slot I can get and if before 1 April

£51,724 with electric heated seats, vesuvio with yellow calipers and black/green/white interior with carbon steering wheel.

Almost like this:

Depreciation could be a bit fierce mind.
