Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio - Anyone Ordering One
Discussion
I think that it's across the board, but don't know that for a fact.
At the Millbrook launch event I asked the brand manager when RHD production would start, and she simply said that she didn't know and so didn't want to guess, so I probably should have seen this coming.
My order was somewhere in the first 20 for the UK, I guess a chunk of those will be demonstrators ( and one for Mr J Clarkson apparently)
Hey ho, there are worse problems to have and as a result I had a nice spin in a Quattroporte today, which has prompted some head scratching!

Good things come to those who wait ...

So I ordered mine in June, promised delivery in October. Then November.
Got a letter from Alfa UK over the weekend saying they are pleased to confirm that the delivery of my car will be in March 2017.
Having spent most of the month in the same state of excitement that I experienced on Christmas Eve 1979, I've got that 'dropped my ice cream' feeling now
Think I'll pop over to Maserati, see if I can find a way to cheer myself up....

Discount in theory looks good but I suspect deal will still work out the same as without discount.
Please explain?1878 said:
Has anyone secured a £10k discount though?! From their website, my bold:"Our role is to persuade Main Dealers [to] offer new cars for sale at considerably cheaper prices than you can find locally"
TX.
Is the broadspeed discount not genuine then?
£49500 seems like an interesting prospect for one of these. Just got the rather nice brochure through the post.
Anyone know how the new tax will work across the 1 April date? I guess any cars bought after 1 April have the full tax impact of £310/year for 5 years, but what about cars bought before 1 April? Are they exempt, pay pre April tax rates on registration and then just pay the flat £140/year thereafter?
EDIT answers here:
http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/car-news/consumer-new...
Pre April 1 - £500 tax Yr 1, £270 thereafter (based on CO2 without changing to £140 flat rate)
Post April 1 - £800 tax yr 1, £450 thereafter
Not a massive difference but annoying.
