Collecting mine Saturday.

Showroom car so no say in spec but it's comp red, black teledials, greens stitching, elec setas and carbon s/w.

Not even driven one so here's hoping it's as good as everybody says !

Like Sixspeed am contemplating some enhacments....

Software flash available to make the exhaust full bore in Dynamic mode seems a no brainer and anoher 40/5bhp from a stage 1 map, both available for £400 apparently which seems great value/disconcertingly cheap.

Have also spoken to Tubi about an exhaust but not cheap for full system - race cats £2100, middle section £700 and back boxes £1700 all plus VAT.

Lastly the car has standard audio system and so I'll be looking in to speaker and amp upgrades.
Can you please let me have the details of the software flash for full bore exhaust in Dynamic mode. Thank you.

It is produced by an outfit called Celtic Tuning who have a long history developing remaps and also doing them for Alfa Romeos.

Google them and you will see they have a network of fitters throughout the country.

I had mine done by an Alfa specialist called NJS Pershore and the proprietor also has a Giulia Quad.

The map was developed using Celtic Tunings own car and they have also dyno developed a stage 1 remap. I had both this and the open exhaust flash done for £395.

Have you noticed much improvement / difference with the stage 1 element? I know 50bhp won't be a night and day gain but in my experience the map is more about the other areas of the graph and in gear characteristics.

Yes exactly that, more pull between 4-6k but most noticeable is a smoother, less lumpy power delivery all the way through the range.

It would be most informative in respect of the depth and quality of the recalibrations made if we could see a before and after overlay of the power and torque plots on just one installation. Not to forget the tabulations of boost, AFRs, timing etc.

Better still such a comparison of runs, together with tabulations on a third party owned installation of reference quality such as MAHA, Dynapack or Rototest.

A vbox log of a 100-200 and 60-130 would be great for real world comparison too.

I'm sure it would.

But you'll have to make do with my sense that it feels a bit smoother and a little bit pokier in the mid range all whilst being louder in Dynamic mode.

It only cost me £395 so I'm really not interested in that level of detail. All I care about is does it come from a reputable tuner, are they prepared to back it with mechanical warranted and does it improve the driving feel from my personal perspective.

If it had been a more expensive, more stressed and more invasive procedure such as a stage 2 map, new downpipes, decat etc such as I've had previously then yes I'd be more interested in measurements beyond the seat of the pants dyno.

ANd they are just about the only people to place the C63 ahead of it in their top 5.

I like the C63 too, but this car deserves to be number one drivers car!

Including warranty? Are we sure?

So if the engine goes pop the map supplier will pay for a new one, and any associated damage?

I know everyone loves a manual box, but i can't see where it would show any benefit on this car. The autobox is fantastic.
