Finally managed to get an Alfa 4c. A two year Launch Edition with 800 miles on the clock from a private seller.
Couldn't be happier, it's early days yet but it's even more exciting than I thought it would be.
And it looks amazing parked up next to my integrale as well.

Congratulations!

(is it a common thing though, a 2 year old car with 800 on the clock? absolutely boggles the mind)

I can only imagine what it must feel like to drive as it looks absolutely stunning and the post states, looks great next to my integrale must surely be the icing. Hopefully you thoroughly enjoy.

Thanks, I'm still pinching myself. The integrale is a dream to drive, it's got such presence and gets so much respect from those who know what it is.
But.
.
..
The Alfa.
OMG!
What a machine. It's incredible. Yes the steering takes a bit of getting used to but an Alfaworks jobbing is on the horizon so that won't be an issue for long, not that itshe really that bad. The seats.could be a bit more supportive, the stereo really is crap (so what? I don't really use it any way)
But those small things aside the car is just a dream. Everything about it is just amazing. I just adore the way it looks, it makes you feel like Kimi when you drive it, the sound of the exhaust is intoxicating, how anyone can complain about that is beyond me. It's a sports car for goodness sake, it's like saying my Maybach is crap because I can't hear the engine.
My advice to anyone is if you get the chance, get one. The lancia unfortunately will have to go as I can't keep the two. Sadly.
The Queen is dead. Long live the Queen 😉

Supposedly the brake pedal is a bit iffy and the tops catch on shoes with big deep treads. How are you finding them?

Can't say I've noticed. The clutch is a bit on off utility that's the way they are I guess.

Fantastic. Any chance of a pic showing the 4C and Integrale together, please? That's a very lustworthy combination to have.

Yes the clutch, its still got one. Or two in this case. I'm no mechanic but I thought a c9nventional auto box had a torque convertor (?) That smoothed out changes and made a bit of creep possible? With this it's either in or out so it's a bit tricky reversing uphill into my garage

I found mine a bit jerky but Ive got used to it, I think its a case of it doesn't seem to roll backwards when you come off the gas, with a slope that may feel worse, I tend to use lots of throttle blips to get something semmy smooth , thinking aloud I wonder if its any softer if you put transmission in all weather mode, it certainly softens the power delivery , might make blips give less punch, Il try it next time mines out this week

To add, just found this quote on the 4C forum --------- Yes... All weather mode is tame and smooth...minimizes the "dog pulling on the leash saying C'MON!" sensation...
