Hi anothertoy
If your point is that you did not get a call/text from them under those circumstances, perhaps it would be worth calling them and asking them to perform a remote diagnostic check as the tracker unit may have failed. If that is the problem, you may also experience significant battery drain, so it's worth getting it checked promptly. That's what happened to me and I had the newer Cobra/Vodafone unit fitted as a replacement.
Hope that helps

I was just going to post similar to Minglar. My frustrations come from the fact that the tags battery life is so poor and so expensive to replace. Must get it paired to my phone! The cobra system is so much better in that you can switch the device off when not using it.
When the battery in my fob had gone and was waiting to be replaced I had a call each time I used the car without fail. Sometimes took a while but always happened.

After three consecutive 3 year subscriptions, I thought best to check the tracker before investing in another non-refundable subscription period, so after driving the car without either phone pairing ( Bluetooth disabled ) or fob ( long deceased ) I hadn't received the automated texts requesting a pin code to stand-down the alarm. Instead, the first notification came from a very polite person after approx. 30-40 mins, when asked if the response time was normal, a request to attempt the test again within the next couple of day resulted in the same experience of no texts and a call after 30 minutes of driving.
Well, if you can imagine how much devastation you could achieve with half an hours free access to someone else's car, is the owner likely to want it back ? A situation described by my insurance broker as a 'chocolate tea-pot' and a question of is it worth £250 a year to save £75 in insurance premiums, your decision .

Agreed, chocolate teapot. Any half decent criminal will have a GSM jammer to block the mobile phone signal and a GPS jammer to prevent the GPS working out where the car is, just in case the GSM jammer fails. Both yours from ebay for around £120 each (last time I looked was a while back)...Well, if you can imagine how much devastation you could achieve with half an hours free access to someone else's car, is the owner likely to want it back ? Your experience is similar to mine, my insurer insists on tracker based on value of car. As did every other insurer I have tried.
6 months ago my Eurowatch tracking system went belly up and started using all my battery power so I had a flat battery everyday! It was diagnosed and I had the newer Cobra/Vodafone unit fitted as a replacement. I have had no problems with it. The tracker pads are smaller and easier to transport and they can be turned off when not in use.
With the Eurowatch system I had before, the large tracker pads were rubbish, too large and didn't last and failed. So I had my phone paired with the system. Only problem was, I have a crap mobile signal where I live, so every time I drove my car , I got a txt after about 10-15 minutes.
Then I noticed that my mobile bill was going up and I found that every time I replied to an alert, I was charged for the txt message. When I enquired with my mobile company, I found that for some reason, the number wasn't included in my txt message package, as it was a Chanel Island number!!
Like I said, I now have the Cobra/Vodafone unit fitted and I don't have anymore issues.

On Sunday morning I disconnected the battery on my V8VR and usually If I do this I would receive a text or call from Eurowatch, but nothing on this occasion.
I also managed to drive off in the Aston with the Bluetooth on my mobile switched off at the weekend and again nothing from Eurowatch.
I might give them a call to see if everything is okay with my tracker

Eurowatch. Pile of.
Had lots of problems with them. Mainly the tracker not reporting to HQ every time period x. Meaning, they weren't continually tracking. Meaning they were clearing me of £250/yr foe very little in return.
Solution was to get "portable" asset tracker at half the cost which I could use on any of my 3 cars. Insurance company couldn't care less if I had a tracker or not.

So, an update after calling Eurowatch.
Apparently their text service is not working and the person said they had not received any alarms on my car, so they would try and locate my vehicle location using their system and if this did not work they would contact Aston Martin support
To be fair to Eurowatch they were very professional in checking why my car did not trigger an alarm when the battery was disconnected.Apparently their text service is not working and the person said they had not received any alarms on my car, so they would try and locate my vehicle location using their system and if this did not work they would contact Aston Martin support
Firstly they confirmed they could track my car in their system, so the tracker was indeed working and they said they would contact Aston Martin support to find out why the battery disconnect did not trigger an alarm with them.
Eurowatch phoned me back twice today to confirm they have had feedback from Aston Martin support that the battery has to be disconnected for at least a few minutes to trigger the tracker.
I had only disconnected it briefly to reset the door modules, so that is the reason for no alarm.
