Brilliant photos as always - thanks for sharing them. It's a shame these heritage fleets aren't made into permanent exhibitions.

Cheers Swooshiain, I have a feeling that the Vauxhall one does have public open days although I suspect they're few and far between.

They do hold a number of events there, but it's not really big enough to do all that much with. They kindly opened up to host our clubs 40th anniversary of the HP Firenza launch a couple of years ago.

Archives are interesting too - they had a lot of photos and internal memos and stuff on show when we were there.

Yeah, they're definitely short on space! Nice of them to put on that event, the cars look fantastic.

There was a PH Sunday Service at Vauxhall Heritage a couple of years ago.

Wasn't very well attended as Vauxhall isn't a glamorous enough name for some.

I did attend ,saw some of these rare cars and enjoyed the day.

Ah, that's a shame, I can't help but feel like some of these cars are rather unappreciated, particularly when compared to the equivalent Fords.

Glad you enjoyed it though.

Some nice stuff they have there - never realised they had so much older stuff!!

Can just see a PA Cresta in the background of one of the shots, and the selection of FC/FD/FE Victors, and that mint FB Viva GT!!!

That white CF van looks a bit clean too smile

Yeah, tons of pre-war stuff - iirc, the Viva GT was having the finishing touches applied after 3 years or so of restoration, looked amazing.

Saw some of that stuff at goodwood this year. They had the whole hot Astra range all the way from the mk1 gte to the current one. Was more interesting to look at actually. Doors were locked but no ropes so you could go and touch them.

I get the impression they'd like to do more if they could. I'd go and have a more detailed look around if it was a bit closer to me, but our event was a good excuse.

Club doesn't have any recent information on it. Whereabouts in the country did you sell it?

ETA - and have you got any photos of it you can share?

Sounds like they were common mods - mine also has a Webasto, twin 48s, and used to backfire. Mine backfired into the DTV fibreglass airbox and set it off, luckily the guy whose house I stopped outside had a fire extinguisher, and I carried one around for years after that.

Would love to see some photos if you can dig them out.
