We are having our exterior joinery repaired and repainted. The names given to different colours are cheesey. Like others in our town (according to the boss of the company doing the work) we went for F&B colours.... rolleyes (I know, if there was an embarrassed face like on Whatapp I'd use that).

So F&B have - some from their association with National Trust houses, some, one could argue, pretentious:

Smoked Trout
Mole's Breath
Hardwick Blue
Manor House Grey
Blazer
Rectory Red and so on, and the big manufacturers follow suit..

BUT there must be a place for a more inclusive range, perhaps from another manufacturer.. how about:

Pavement Pizza
Tramp Stamp
Strictly
Frankfurter
Ketchup
Scag
EzyJet
And for the oldies like me..
Credit card Colombian
Leb Red
Moroccan Gold
P*** Black

The names should give a clue as to the colour - any other suggestions?

The name has to imply the colour - so no colour in the name - on that basis I think the dog would be lipstick and, solely from my professional (I hasten to add) knowledge of the other suggestion, brown or dark grey would be more appropriate than pink - if you can see pink, you're beyond the ring and in a different zone.

Clunch - well that's one for the pub quiz [eta could be the clincher....] - I never knew what clunch was until prompted to search - thanks tHr.
