DBS Manual throttle remap
Discussion
Popped into Bamford Rose today to get my glass buttons fitted which is a fantastic upgrade to the interior IMHO. I had heard from a couple of guys on here that it was possible to remap the throttle on the Manual and Auto DBS to give the same throttle response setup as the V12V in sport mode. Remember the DBS Manual doesn't have a sport button.
BR performed said remapping activity and the driveability difference is night and day. The extra urgency the engine has transforms the drive experience and heel and toe is so much easier - a totally recommend upgrade

Bins,
I love the way that you promised 'erwindoors' that 'this car' wouldn't need any fettling.
Next question: Can this map be done on a DB9?
See you next week.

Why not get the full lance treatment like DBS2000? Surely it would be the best of all worlds? The DBS/V is a brilliant GT, so adding the throttle map with the full power treatment would surely mean we wouldn't need to be on the look out for V12V's to add to our garages?BR performed said remapping activity and the driveability difference is night and day. Nope. The next step for me will be to decat the primary pipes. Meaning 80% of the 70BHP of Lance spec for less than 50% the cost. Reason, no hardware is needed to be made so the decat with this V12V throttle map is an excellent cost alternative to full spec Lance with the added bonus of no risk cat ingestion

Hmmm.. Very tempting. Might consider this for when the warranty runs out. Would mean not having to worry about cat ingestion The next step for me will be to decat the primary pipes.
