More weight saving...

...the back seat was 80Kg by itself. Belts, brackets, trim and sound deadening about another 10Kg. smile

Trail fitted the splitter. Not bad for £2.00 and an hour or so. Just waiting for Apex to deliver the springs. smile

So I spent the morning chasing around all my local part suppliers looking for a set of Bravo HLX or HGT springs. The ones on my car are eighteen years and 126,000 miles old so even standard ones would be stiffer (in theory).

Some didn't do any parts for cars before 2005 and others couldn't get anything before Monday. Fiat want £217+VAT for the front pair.

I spent the afternoon in my shed. A pair of Punto GT rear springs.

Modified a pair of Coupe' front springs.

Of course I had a few issues. My 18mm ring spanner has disappeared so I needed to improvise a little.

Only a couple of jobs to get done and my Bravo and I are good to go. smile

High enough to get on my driveway, negotiate speed ramps and potholes; low enough to wear apple bottom jeans. hehe

My target time for this session was one minute and thirty seconds.

My best lap was on twenty four point eight. woohoo

Due to the bolts having to be cut I won't be able to put the back seat back in my Bravo. So I have been doing carpentry.

Floor leveling frame...

...held in place with coach bolts.

A bit of marine ply and some new carpet and I'll officially have a van. wink

Yesterday was brilliant. Wet tack day with oil on most of the circuit. Hilarious.

I'll have photo's and a blooper reel of spins and drifting later.

In the mean time...

...the Coupe' 20V turbo wheels are back...

...because they have more of a Winter tread. wink

Decision time. Do I put the Bravo though it all again next year or get/build something quicker?

As my car is now kind of a van I needed a rear interior light that illuminates the whole load space.

Luckily I had a DRL from a car I bought ages ago and refuse point blank to have them fitted unless mandatory.
