I've been trying to persuade an acquaintance to part with his 67 Abarth to no avail - annoyingly it is being used by his employees as a run around.

Just about to pull the trigger on exactly the same car, apart from it's the flat grey as I'm a tight wad. Our M135i goes back at the end of February and we drove one of these last week but not the convertible comp and it was a absolute hoot to drive.
Is the 500c comp as good as the hard top?
I have twinair 500 that I run through the business as a pool car and that's been great over the last few years.

I believe not being a full convertible more like a extra large sunroof makes it pretty much as rigid as the Hard top. May be a touch heavier . I always have had convertibles . I traded a 2010 3.4S Boxster for the Abarth. No regrets so far has real character and great sound.
Haha I yes I suppose it is a large sunroof, it ticks alot of boxes for the wife and I.As much as I have enjoyed the BM for the last 2 years it hasn't made me smile like the abarth has at all, as you say they have character and the sound from the Monza exhaust on start up is fantastic.

I always did enjoy the Abarth more than the Cayman i had as well. To think now that they have the four cylinder engines, i dread to think!coetzeeh said:

Just goes to show it isn't all about BHP, 0-62 and tech.
I won't be parting with either of those any time soon. Took me years to find concourse examples of both cars.
