Alfa Romeo Giulietta 1.4 TB MultiAir
Discussion
Hi all,
Recently I have been looking for a Giulietta 1.4 TB MultiAir, I have done a bit of research and cant find too much on common faults and things to look out for - are there any?
My budget would be for an early one (2011 approximately). Is there anything you'd consider essential specification wise?
Thanks

I'm on my second Multiair 170. 36k miles on this one, about 55k on the first. No problems at all. Fantastic cars - so much more reliable than some of the rubbish that my colleagues have had - including Mazdas, BMWs, Renaults, Nissans, Mercs... Don't believe what the "experts" will tell you about Alfas!
It only feels like an Alfa if you drive it in "Dynamic" though. And I get about 36mpg.
Go for one with leather if you can, it transforms the interior.

Done 20,000 miles in my 2012 MA so now on 50k.
Impressed with its low running cost, easy to change filters myself and local indi did the oil and sparks which I plan to do every 12k (oil)
Only problems have been the rear demister stopped working which seems a common fault due to wires on the boot hinge being under strain.
Other fix was some a gasket replacement after some oil found its way into the 2 spark plug well. Less than £50 to replace.
Performance is great in D mode and get over 40mpg on the motorway commute in N mode.
Turbo lift off noise is cool although I find it noisy (tyre noise) on some roads, heard the 2014 models have improved insulation.
