The Alfa Romeo 4C lease thread
Discussion
Everyone that has paid deposits should be getting a call from the manager today. Essentially, IT error. They processed all the orders Monday but Alfa rejected it as a discount was doubled in error (due to the software, not Unity). They are working with Alfa HQ to try and get the now dissallowed discount that was applied to be offset with a "group discount" due to them ordering so many cars. They are hopeful but want to let those that have left deposits know that there has been an issue. They don't expect to have a final answer from Alfa HQ till early next week. Manager seems friendly. It's out of our hands.
That's the jist of it. Maybe don't all ring up at once and let him get through the list.

Thanks. It always seemed far too good to be true and in my case my only loss is 1/2 day and about £50 in Petrol which I'm happy to sacrifice for a go in the 4c. If they do come up with a half decent group discount/deal then I'd probably still be tempted.
I feel bad for those that sold cars or cancelled other leases though!

If they are anything like the 8c they might go up in price, although I doubt it!

I think in a few years time once they've depreciated a bit more I'll buy privately! The deal did seem ridiculously cheap compared to standard 4c deals.
Test drove one and it was brilliant, well compared to a GT anyway!

No chance of that. There are far too many sitting on the used market now unsold.JJbing said:

Thinking about it a little more, if Unity had applied the correct contribution from Alfa, I imagine that the offer would have looked similar to the 3+23 deals of £499 of a few weeks ago - probably a little better.
Hopefully they manage to resolve the issue and at least get some form of fleet discount as seems to be the plan.

I don't think I'd go for the deal if that was the discount they could offer. I was only getting the 4c as a weekend toy. Can't really justify 13k on a toy for two years!Hopefully they manage to resolve the issue and at least get some form of fleet discount as seems to be the plan.
I don't think we'll have a positive outcome, TBH. I feel they would only have a chance of getting a fleet discount if they committed to a very large number of orders. But from Alfa's perspective, having a bunch of black 4cs at the end of two years on the used market, not selling, and only having taken 10k for each of them is not a smart business move.
