Okay, so someone out there please tell me this would be an absoltuely stupid idea.
Its done 91k but looks immaculate, is owned by an enthusiast (AROC member), and for God's sake its only £5k!

Bearing in mind that i only do c.6000 miles a year, what could i reasonably expect in running costs?
I know to expect 20-25mpg.
Thing is, after my previous car, the RX-7, anything over 15mpg is a bonus!

(it's very bright though! )
No, no, that's the sober one - the bright one looks like this: Thats the same as mine!
I baught my 2001 GTV V6 six months ago, for £6k with 80k on the clock(84k now) and so far it has been fine, it passed its MOT 1st time and all I have done to it is fit powerflex bushes to the back suspension after it started squeeking.

I've got boring grey I'm afraid
It is a bit full-on, but I really like it now. The RZ is all red leather too, but the 147 is black leather and they're each nice in their own way.
I've had to do slightly more to my GTV than pooh - in the two years I've had it I've fitted powerflex bushes, I've had the MAF sensor cleaned to fix a low-rev stutter when cold, I've had the windows re-aligned, and a loose throttle pot connection fixed. Nothing ridiculous for a '98 car, I think.

Yep, that would be this one:

I really like the look of this one though, my ideal colour combo....

Though to be a winner for me it'd have to have the 17" Teledials, and the half red interior.
Then bingo! Sale!

That's exactly the same age, wheels, and colour combo as my 59,000-miler, although mine doesn't have the spoiler spoiling it. www.pistonheads.com/sales/100822.htm

Yeah, i constantly flit between loving and hating the Aero spoiler. Currently i'm loving it.
Actually, to change my previous comment, i think my ideal car would be:
Black, with half red interior
Aero Spoiler
17" Teledials
<70,000 miles
FSH, with Cambelt service done
<£6000.
Anyone out there got my ideal car?
I think this looks just amazing:
