I think they are about as rare as rocking horse doodah. I believe the only people to carry out the RHD conversion were/are DTR sportscars in Sheene, London. You could try their website or give them a call to see if they know of any of their customers looking to sell.

www.dtrsports.com/

If you look under the workshop section it says they only built 6 of these conversions.

I had one for about 2 years and traded it for my GTV about six months ago(The lure of the Alfa V6, 2 seats for the kids and a proper roof for the winter). I loved it, it was fast enough to be fun, had responsive chuckable handling(better than the grippier but less fun GTV), looked lovely, was reliable and cheap to run. I did not find the lhd to be much of a problem and was told that converting them is not a good idea because the floor pan is not symetrical and there is less space on the passenger side.

yes

I was looking for a Barchetta and spoke to an owner who is also a manager for Fiat and he said the DTR conversion is a good job but it does spoil the car and is best to keep as LHD.

I never did find a good Barchetta (missed a few good ones). They're an excellent car and the only common problem is the variator but since the engine is the Bravo/Brava HGT lump spares can be easily sourced.

I eventually bought a GTV Spider but I did actually prefer the dash in the Barchetta

I owned one as a second car for 5 years and thoroughly enjoyed it. The car had a good combination of handling and power in it's day and the left hand drive never bothered me. My car was finished in the original launch colour of orange with black leather and had the rare Europe only alloys that Fiat UK never saw fit to offer as an option to UK buyers. It was in outstanding condition and only ever used on sunny weekends whilst I owned it.

If you want more info on these cars there is an owners site at www.fiatbarchetta.com/club/uk/
