My 145 splutters
Discussion
But only if for any reason I am in too high a gear and the revs drop....say if someone decides to walk in front of my car in the town centre. Then for the rest of the journey it's like it's running on 3 cylinders. I've tried turning the ignition off and back on again but even waiting 10 minutes wouldn't make a difference.
I drove 200 miles one afternoon last week without ever dropping the revs too low...and it drove like a dream...so why does it happen. I assume that if it is able to drive smoothly it's not a problem with spark plugs....but possibly a problem with the electrics.
It's a 1.8 twin spark btw.
Can anyone help.

Thabks for your suggestions. I'm just baffled as to why it only happens when revs drop too low while trying to accellerate. Even though it feels like it's running on 3 cylinders, my guess is that it's related to the fule - or lack of it.
Because I only really use my car to drive 3k miles per year it's not too big a deal. But it would be nice to get it sorted out, if only for when i've got passengers. It's a bit embarrasing if the cars kangerooing.
