Why not go for Lancia's version of the 164, the Thema? In 8.32 guise, it's not a bad runabout.

I previously owned a Dedra, which I loved, but find the design of the Thema too dull, and though somewhat attracted to the 8.32, it's not really a substitute for the Delta.

too true, and do you really want to have the on-going costs of maintenance for a fezza engine in a lancia?

blimey, taken aghast, either you have been very unlucky with other cars or had some good fortune with the 8.32?

Traditional Lancia knocking... my 'grale has been more reliable than either Golf I have run. Only time it has ever left me on the side of the road is when I ran out of fuel 4 years ago. Never fails to start, never splutters to a stop. Get one!! (p.s. mine is for sale - Lord Blue Evo2)

Wasn't knocking Lancia in general, but the maintenace expense associated with the Ferrai engine in the 8.32.

As for the Integrale, great car, had one for a couple of years, however, even with constant specialist servicing, it was extremely unreliable, including replacement of all 16 valves with an engine re-build in the first month, at a cost of over £5K. General servicing / maintenance was about a grand every time went to the workshop.

However, would still recommend the experience, and eventually sold without any depreciation.
