Gear change/gearbox HELP!!

Hi, I have a 2001 147 2ltr twinspark mannual. Yesterday on the way home from a 2 hour journey the gear lever got stuck in third, after i parked up and turned the engine off i managed to free it. Now whenever i go into 3rd or 4th its really stiff! 1st, 2nd, 5th and reverse all seem fine, any ideas what the problem might be?? cheers Andy

Have seen this problem listed for other models and the resolution is often replacement of the clutch slave cylinder (relatively cheap fix).

Cheers, it's going back to the garage anyhow.... only had it a month

Think the linkage went last night.. Stick wobbles all over the place and anything forward is 3rd and anything back is 4th no 1st, 2nd, 5th or reverse.
