As per the title really, does anyone have recommendations for an Alfa specialist in the Newcastle upon Tyne area ?

Cheers.

Assuming you're talking upon-tyne.....I used to use lyles, Ian's a good guy (parts) but they can be a little slow and expensive! But better than a couple of of the authorised dealers used to be......

If it's servicing or repairs you're after one of my mates used to work for Vauxhall, then Alfa so he's fully trained and does a good job at your house (or his house) - much cheaper than a dealer!

I used Lyles in the 1990's when I was up there. Damn good work & not expensive, compared to the south. All Alfa enthusiasts to a man which was great!

If you don't mind a bit of a run out try Bluebell Motor Company (BMC) in Newton Aycliffe. Their Workshop Manager is ex-Alfa and really knows his stuff. Call them on 01325 300520.

Try a company called Autodelta in Whitley Bay - they looked after my 147 and GTV when i had them - good quality work and reasonable prices.

Oh, and if you pop down, see if they've still got the Dino restoration project in there. Apparently someone dropped it off a few years ago and they keep popping in with cash to maintain the works on a "if you've any spare time" basis. Stunning car.
