Hi

I know it is not right on your door step but I would strongly recommend Veloces of London www.veloces.co.uk 0208 275 0630

I own a company that sells new Alfa Romeos and we also service Alfa Romeos but we are too far from you. I know the work the guys do at Veloces and the car will be right when they have finished with it.

These guys have a fantastic reputation on the Alfa Owners forum. I'll be taking mine there and I live in Canterbury.

Personally the only Alfa servicing I'd recommend in Kent is Medway ALfa in Rainham, bent over backwards when I ran my 156 JTD SW. And very reasonable!
As for Veloces, my car came from there admittedly around 4 years ago but they wouldn't be my choice for servicing if the level of prep & attention to detail on mine was anything to go by.

Is your Alfa a GTV? If so, Powerfiat in Basildon are now branching out into Powergtv - Rog there is an absolute legend in the Fiat Coupe community, owners come from as far as Scotland and Germany for his services, can't believe that he isn't equally as good with a GTV.

You could try 'Italian racing services' in Basildon, bit of an "old school" garage in terms of how it looks but I hear it's pretty good.

When our 2.4 JTD was within it's warranty it got serviced at AMC Chelmsford, possibly the best Dealer I have ever used for any car, they really do go the extra mile.

I rang Italian Race Services and the quote for the service seemed really cheap, the guy seemed helpfulland knowledgeable, but, the quote was cheap because he didn't know what was involved in that particular service which, rightly or wrongly put me off a bit.

We took it to Veloces for the major service, belts etc, in my opinion they did things the quick way, ie to change a suspension arm it's easier to break the joints without paying too much attention to the rubber boots, they were split, I just hope they did the oily bits a bit better. Good price though.

It now gets pampered by A H Motorsports http://www.ahmotorsports.co.uk/ can't say a bad word about the place, not the cheapest, but you definatley get what you pay for, excellent. The car is now at 107,000 miles and drives like new, err sorry, better than new as it has A LOT more power via a remap, goes like stink and still returns 50mpg on a run.
