Too tall and the back looks odd. Unlike you lot I don't really like it. I thought I would but I don't. I'd rather have a MINI if i had the choice.

Am I the only one on here that would actually get more excited about this car than a new Lambo / Fezza?

Nice, although I reckon the Punto sport looks better...

Gotta wonder how it's going to compete with a pre-owned Cooper S though.

Me too, I'm so looking forward to this car.

My worry is still the dealers, I've had some time away from Fiats, and I was shocked by just how bad it was when I went to have a quick look around the Panda 100HP.

I want one - although I might be tempted by a Turbo diesel with c. 110- 120bhp as an alternative - don't they do a 1.9 JTD Punto?

I really want this to be a great car, however I can't help thinking that the Nurburgring is not the place to develop a small hot hatch. Surely it's more about nippy handling and chuckability than flat out cornering?

I've driven all the Puntos from this the first one, to the latest one, and although they all grip fairly well through the corners, the steering is FAR to vague to give any feel of the road whatsoever. Hopefully, this will be different, and not to expensive as I could get a Fiat family discount on it if I bought one

The dealers really are shockingly bad, I had to complain to Fiat UK to get some routine warranty work done, and the attitude of the service guys is shite.

I went in one day to have a faulty door lock looked at, it was making a buzzing noise when deadlocked. Cue service manager saying 'thats the alarm mate, they all do that'

Me: " it doesnt have an alarm. mate..."

In my days of owning Fiats, I found a local out-in-the-sticks dealer who, aside from being difficult to get to, was really good. One example saw me buying a replacement wing mirror only for them to offer to fit it for free. Now, bearing in the mind the door was somewhat "bent" (don't ask) this was not an easy task, but they still went ahead and did it.

I'm rather hoping the Fiat is truer to the original in concept and not some oversized, poorly packaged, over stylized sacrilege to the original.
