Is the 164 version and the GTV version the same engine? Could a GTV donor work with 164 ECU/afm/ancillaries? Are the blocks the same mounting-wise? Anybody any experience?

'Fraid not, investigated the same myself 5 years ago. Tipo chassis on the GTV is different to the type 4 chassis of the 164 which means the oil pump drive off the front of the crank on the GTV needs a bigger sump which wont clear the chassis of the 164.

As I recall, the mounting arrangements in a 164 are much more closely related to the 75 / Alfetta GTV, even though the 164 was transverse and the 75 / GTV longitudinal.

In the unlikely event that I manage to kill the TSpark in my 75, I'll be incredibly tempted to look into putting a 24v V6 in it....
